"Vues d’Issy", Issy-les-Moulineaux

Surrounded by isolated buildings, this project offers a different interpretation of the location’s topography by linking the higher and lower levels of the plot.

The building’s volume moulds around the constraints of minimum separation distance, plot dimensions and the hill’s gradient.

The project demonstrates a willingness to engage in a dialogue with its surrounding environment, and aims to initiate a new style of collective housing by offering maximal exterior private and collective spaces.

Landscape is an essential element. Vegetation accompanies the project’s architecture and enhances opportunities for future inhabitants.

The tiered aspect of the building is created through a succession of terraces that follow the slope, right up to the roof. Similar to a hanging garden, landscape and vegetation cover every angle, connecting each degree of the project, providing views and a wealth of uses for future users.
